Peach Festival and Parking

Our first performance of the 2009 Marching Band and first significant fundraiser will take place on Saturday July 4th. Marching Band members are asked to meet at Tee Derick's gas station at 8:30am for the parade down Main St. Not only will be participating in the parade, the Gilbert Band will be selling parking spots and ice cold water throughout the day.

Gilbert Band Community Yard Sale

We will be having a Community Yard Sale on Saturday, June 27th in the GHS Student Parking lot. You or anyone can rent a table for $10 and have a chance to raise a little summer spending money. The Sale will last from 8-12pm and everyone is welcome to participate.

Attention Marching Band

Any Marching Band Parent who has not received an email from Mr. Cox should sent a brief email to MLCOX@lexington1.net so he can add you to the email group. All Medical, Travel, and Parent Volunteer forms should be returned to either the GHS main office, or mailed to: Gilbert Bands 840 Main St Gilbert, SC 29054 Thanks!

WATER

As we have done in the past, we are asking for water donations throughout the marching season. Many families often bring in 24-Packs on a regular basis. Though this is voluntary, this has helped us tremendously during band camp, football games, contests, etc. We have depleted our supply from last year, so we are asking for as much water as we can get for July 4th parade and bandcamp. So if you can send your donations to us on July 3rd, we’ll be off to a great start. This is one of the main reasons that we didn’t have any students passing out in the record heat the past two years…..it really helps, so please donate as much as you can.
