Announcements
The band program at Gilbert strives to create an environment conducive to stimulating creativity and positive attitudes about the performance and enjoyment of music. Students at Gilbert participate in marching band, concert band, region and all-state band, solo and ensemble and various festivals, clinics, and competitions. It is through these activities that students develop a life long appreciation for music as well as acquire the necessary skills to continue participation in band throughout the rest of their lives.

Marching Band: Congratulations to the Marching Indians for winning the 2011 SCBDA AA Lower State Championship AND the 2011 SCBDA AA State Championship!!! Great Job!! Now enjoy it!!
All-State: Congratulations to Cody Hutto for making 15th Chair Senior Clarinet in the All-State Band.
Jazz Band: Congratulations to the Gilbert Jazz Band for their Superior rating at the SCBDA State Jazz Festival. This marked Gilbert’s first time participating in the event in many years.
